D-FENS1 Home

We provide a service to protect your home in a similar way we protect our business clients.

Consider the way home security has evolved. It wasn't that long ago that we just had doors with simple locks. For greater security, you might add a deadbolt, or maybe put bars on windows. Today, many people no longer need to carry a key. There are connected devices and sensors and cameras that provide you with peace of mind but there are associated risks which we will explain further in detail below. When someone steps on your porch, or knocks on the door, or opens a window, you’re notified. With the right technologies, you can monitor the temperature in your home from the other side of the world and receive fire or smoke alerts on your mobile device but in certain cases they can be exploited and used against you, that's where we step in with D-FENS1 Home.
Once month we run a modified version of our D-FENS1 Vulnerability Shield against your home network from our bank of servers to scan for over 35,000 vulnerabilities for devices such as routers, printers, smart devices, smart TVs and all your other home appliances and gadgets, like Wi-Fi thermostats, gaming consoles, and even your baby monitor and anything else connected that could be exploited and used against you in your own home.
We will also check for settings that should not be enabled and default password use on attached equipment and we will advise and change passwords in a coordinated effort with you.Our service will work with all Internet service providers. When was the last time you checked the door was locked on your own home network?

How Our D-FENS1 Home Service Works.

  • We externally map your home network, this allows us to see what a hacker can see.

  • identify-recognize-verify-investigate-examine-risk

Then we attempt to identify all connected devices and security risks.

  • We also scan for any open internet facing ports, this is how attacks generally come in.
We advise on how to close them if they are insecure and unnecessary.

  • Finally, we report out findings to you via email.
